| Re-programming the Mini-PAC - Help! [SOLVED!] |

Hi guys! I'm sooo close to finishing my bartop cabinet now, but I am stuck programming the Mini-PAC interface. When I wired the buttons and joystick I didn't pay attention to the labeled connectors on the Mini-PAC and I just connected them randomly as they fit. I didn't think this was going to be a problem as I read that the Mini-Pac could be re-programmed completely. Now, when I push "Up"/"Down" on my joystick it may output the characters 'X' and 'G' instead of 'Uparrow' and 'Downarrow'. I would therefore want to change this so when I push the joystick up, it sends the keyboard character for "Uparrow" to the computer. Basically, how do I change what keyboard characters the different switches output to the computer? I tried using the WinIpac application from Ultimarc, but I couldn't figure out how to do it there. All help appreciated a lot. :) |

Did you read through the documentation here? The Win-Ipac utility is really what you need to reprogram it. |

The application doesn't seem that complicated to me. :) Guess I'll have to try again. Thanks! |

Ergh.. Guess I was a little too quick when rushing through the WinIpac util. I get it now. I have to assign each button according to how I physically wired it in "Panel mode" first, then I can assign keyboard codes. :P Ah.. I hope it's possible to reset the MiniPAC to it's default configuration, because I messed around and saved a new configuration to the ROM which screwed it up completely. ;) |

You can reset it by going into "Programming Mode" in windows notepad. http://www.ultimarc.com/interact.html |
