Joe sent me product that was unacceptable in quality.  The colors (especially the blacks) were off.  I'd specifically asked Joe if his colors were accurate,  especially blacks,  and he assured me they were.  They were not.  He also sent two right side pieces instead of a true right and left side.  I complained and Joe said he'd reprint without issue.  After 2 weeks I inquired on my reprint... he said he'd get it out by Wednesday.  Wednesday rolled around...then Thursday...then Friday.... still no email so I asked again and Joe said he'd have it shipped by Monday at the latest.  On Tuesday I asked if he'd shipped.  No response.  Wednesday,  the same.  Thursday I told him i was disputing my CC charge if I didn't hear from him... nothing.  Friday nothing... Saturday nothing.... Sunday nothing.  Tomorrow I am disputing my charges.

That's discouraging -- he has some art that I wanted for a project that I have in the queue ... but it has lots of black in it.
FrizzleFried:
Don't do it Jeffo... another KLOVian just responded his Mario Bros' side art sucked...off color... and the adhesive didn't stick for ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---.  I didn't even get that far because I wouldn't even consider sticking this sub-par crap on my Williams Multigame.

FrizzleFried:
Since I didn't post the initial photos here when I complained about the color to the guy...here they are (including a comparison of black vs another inkjet piece from mamemarquees (the VS CLASSICADE marquee) to demonstrate that inkjet CAN do proper blacks...

First up is side art contrasted to my semi-gloss black paint on the cab:

As you can see...unacceptable.

The next is the side art contrasted to mamemarquees work.  Note that the marquee is made of the higher quality stuff scott offers,  as such,  it's hard to get a nice photo of it as there tends to be a bit of glare...but you still can see the difference:

They're both inkjets? Looks to me there's a cheaper ink involved. I tried a cheaper ink refill for a Lexmark printer I had about ten years ago and that is exactly how the black turned out (it also had a tendency to smear and run just from the sweat from your hands, but that's different issue).

Checking on his website, I don't see where he explains the printing process though. Could be the medium he's printing on too. Cheap or inappropriate medium will cause that as well. One of the earliest lessons I learned when printing one-off comic books.

Anyone else have experience with him?
