LOL....hats off to RandyT from GrooveyGameGear.com

I'm in the process of constructing my coin door on my cab...

I thought long and hard on deciding on either getting a fully functional coin door....( which now days costs over 80 + depending on where you go)... finding a old cheap rusty one and restoring it ( buying parts ) ...or creating a fake one...

I went to GGG and bout the fake door sticker and two of the push button credit buttons ( go to GGG and click on the "coin doors tab")...

They were shipped fast and when I got it ...IT WAS NICE!!!!

I took the sticker and I mounted it on a scrap peice of pexi and placed another piece over it to protect it....I drilled out the mounting holes for the pushbuttons...( same as a regular arcade button)....IT LOOKS AWESOME....

Now all I have to do is route out a square to insert the pexi into...mount the buttons and hook up to my power supply....I'll send pics when I can.... :applaud:

That's an interesting (read "inexpensive"  ;) ) solution to that problem. I like it.

Definitely would like to see pics when you get them!

The UAII (my cabinet) is a tad too low for a real coin door/box IMO and this is a cool little compromise.  Plus it's nice to 'insert' coins with your feet while sitting on a barstool.  :P
