What does GroovyGameGear's DOT spinner's mounting look like? Does anyone have the template or dimensions? Does it need to be recessed. If so, how deep?

There is a plexi plate that sits on the top of CP so it does not get counter sunk.

You don't need to countersink, but some have. It's definitely easier not to, though.
