Anyone benchmark mame with a core i7?

JODY:

I assume you plan to use a 64 bit version of MAME.  Also, indicate the speed of RAM you are using.

I had thought about a 64bit version of MAME, but since I doubt I will be able to find 64bit XP drivers for some of my components (video card, chipset) I will likely stay with 32bit for my testing.

I will dropping this mobo into my mame cab with a completely hidden windows environment shelled to Mala, and AFAIK XP is the only way to go for that, unless someone has figured out a good way to achieve the same result with win7. In that case I'll happily start benchmarking in the Win7 64bit environment with a 64bit build of MAME. But since it doesn't suit my needs, I'll be benching 32bit.

I'll see if I can get 64bit XP Pro playing happy on a spare hard drive I have. If I can, then I'll image the drive and move it over to the Solid State drive I'm using in my test rig.

My specs:

* Mobo: Asus P8P67M-Pro v3 (bios version 1002)
* Power Supply: OCZ 500MXSP modular 500 watt
* CPU: Intel Core i7 2600K
* Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212+ with dual push/pull 120mm fan setup and AS5 grease
* RAM: 2 sticks of GSkill Ripjaw DDR3 at 1600mhz (9-9-9-24)
* OS Drive: currently a 2.5" Seagate 160GB 7500rpm laptop SATA drive, using 3mb/s SATA II bus, but soon to be a OCZ Vertex 3 SATA III 120GB SSD, running at 6gb/s
* OS: XP SP3 32bit
* Video: MSI NX 8500GT with 256mb NVIDIA GPU

XP64 drivers are listed here. nVidia card will be fine too.

Seriously, don't run Mame32 on an i7 :( that's just silly.
