I have a pause next to the start for each player, and when P1 start and P1 pause are pressed together, the game exits. Even with a two-button exit, I've had people reach for the start or pause and accidentally hit both and exited their game. I'm working on putting a stiff exit button out of the way.

What are the three buttons in the top middle?

Buttons in the top middle are a rotary joystick with two buttons.

Or, go 1 step further & cover your exit button with a spring loaded cover: http://s242.photobucket.com/albums/ff97/infernolab/Arcade%20Game/?action=view&current=20cupholdersgun.jpg
