Well, I prefer DMD pins, although, I do not often look at the Dmd.
Usually only when there is an intermission set (ball is locked up), and when there are
video modes to play
But its nice for others when they watch as well.
Many old EM games had their own versions of the DMD.. Usually to do with
animated figures. Such as a game where actual baseball figures run actual
bases. Or one pin actually has matchbox type cars that roll around an oval track
inside the backbox as you get points. Its cool as heck. (the animated games
sell for big money)
Toys can be good.. but they can be bad too. Such as a toy that does not do
anything at all.. or does not add to the gameplay. Sterns batman race car setup
is an example of what Not to do. While Williams Magic Trunk on TOM is great.
My fav toy, is probably Williams Indiana Jones "Path of Adventure". The castle in
MM is also an Awesome toy. (It has much more functionality than the exploding
animation mentioned) The moving target 'Dracula' on monster bash is another
one. Very challenging and fun. I cant see how chad would disagree with that...
unless he hasnt played such a working machine in good shape.
One should never buy a game based on the number of toys. The gameplay is
most important.
IMOP, TZ is horrible. I dont care how many toys are on it.. The ball flow is very
Stop-Start. Very slow playing. Not very much fun to me. But there are a lot
of people that grew up on that show, and like that theme, so I think they overlook
the rest...
