I'm in the process of restoring all of the Rygar artwork. I am about 50% finished and the whole set will be all available for download after I am done. I have hit a snag. I have no clear scans of the side art. Can anyone please either send me a scan or take a hich-res picture of their side art using a digital camera and send that to me?

If there is anyone on the internet that could have the side art, I have already asked them. From the marquee printing vendors to private collectors. No one has a scan of the side art.

This would really go a long way if anyone could supply this to me.

Just got an email back from a guy who had a Rygar cab, he sold it, doesnt know the guy who bought it or how to get ahold of him. It had one side with the side art and it was good apparantly. I am efforting this still.....amazing this is so hard......

Nice work guys. I have that one too. Here is what I have so far, I took the dragon from the bezel and cleaned it up. Now, all I have to do is lay it over the flyer and we're in business. Of course I still have to clean it all up before its done. The demensions are 16X12. It wont be a perfect match but it will be close.

Now its not exact and its a work in progress but this is what I have got done since last night. Like I said, its not an accurate copy but it is better than nothing.

Almost done with the whole set. Done with the marquee, 80% done with the bezel, side art complete and I just have the CPO to do.

Should be done by the 15th.

-all I have left is the side art, looking forward to seeing it sean-o! If you want the CPO, I have that from earlier that I re-sized to fit my cabinet.....

That is super sweet Zen. What size monitor is that 19 or 21? Zen can you do me a huge favor? Any way you could take a few pics of the scene at the top of the bezel and send them to my email? I have 3 huge rips in the scan I have and I need to know where to trace. I cant do it correctly without reference. The blue guy on the top right, the mud man and the clouds are all messed up on the scan. If you would do that it would be a huge help. If not, its okay, I'll figure it out one wau or anything...

I saw that, those are kinda neat, weird tho as I do not remember those in the arcade? Were there multiple little signs like that on the machine, because those are only 7"x4"? They indicate everytime they installed a new game they used those little "marquees" Interesting, I might have to bid on that little guy, thanks for the heads up....

Do you know if those headers light up? I would think in a dark arcade they wouldn't be seen very well.

I looked a little bit, and could not find any of them, probably looking for the wrong thing, but you would think they would light up, or maybe not, as I said, we had those machines in the local arcade but I dont remember them.....

Yeah, every little bit helps. Still working on it. It will look pretty close to the actual thing when Im done. The only gripe I have is the pic of Rygar, the flyer I am using is of poor quality, when I cleaned it up as best I could, but I am not too happy with it.

Zen, I am having to do this all by hand as in the vectorizing so its going to be a few weeks. But here is what I have so far. I also just finished up the stone dragon but it needs some finishing touches.

Next part is trying to do the waist and legs after the top part is done.

Can people please stop using photobucket and other similar services? They keep getting deleted, they're slow to load, etc.

Why not post the photos directly on the arcadecontrols.com forums?

And one question: where can I get a non-cropped Rygar marquee image at a decent resolution?

Unfortunately, Sean-o's work is gone as his computer dumped, I bought a NOS marquee after that....he hasnt been on in a while
