Donkey Kong Repair ?
SirPeale:
IIRC = If I Remember Correctly.
Check TR401, TR402 and TR403.
It could also be a bad cap, have you done any work on this monitor?
CTpunk:
Nope nothing yet. I guess Ill start with a Cap kit. Tell me this. Does the cap kit come with caps for different boards, some of the boards, one of the boards?
Level42:
A cap kit is only for the monitor. A monitor usually has two boards: The main board and the neck board. All (or actually, most) caps are included for those boards not for the game PCB or power supply. For some power supplies there are cap-kits available, but I haven't seen them for the Nintendo power supplies. Probably because they are a nightmare to open at all.
CTpunk:
Level42 thank you that answers my question. I will order a cap kit and consider whether or not its something I can do or find someone to do it for me. Thanks for all input guys.
Will update this thread.
Level42:
The Sanyo's are great monitors. At least, the one in my Nintendo cab is. I think it's the best looking original monitor I've got running. I didn't even so a cap-kit on it yet ! (Just the famous "fold-over" cap.).
