| Do other (non-mame) Emulators take advantage of the Graphics Card? |

Do other non-mame Emulators take advantage of the Graphics Card? Such as emulators for the Sega Model 2 or for Virtual Pinball etc? I'm thinking of getting a new system to run mame + multiple other emulators and was wondering if getting a very good graphics card is worth it at all? Thanks! |

I know the Model 2 emulator does. For example, it has an option for meshed polygon translucency that requires a pixel shader 3 capable card. Also, AAE (the vector game emulator) requires a pretty good card. |

Many N64 emulators do. They scale the games to 1920x1200 or higher if requested. Only the textures look a bit rough then. And of course, most emulators, including Mame use the GPU for upscaling, stretching, fake cushion distortions and tridot overlay-effects. |
