Geometry Wars 2

go buy it.

I loved the first and this game is sooooo much better. Six different game modes that are VERY unique and feel like an entirely different game. Its totally worth $10

Are you playing it with analog sticks?...if so, is it different?

not sure I understand the question, how else would you play it on xbox360?

what makes this game so superior is the extra modes. There is one where you have unlimited lives but only 3 minutes, one where you can only shoot from inside bubbles, one where you cant shoot at all and have to go through explosive gates to kill enemies, another where ships come in waves that take up large portions of the screen and most of the achievements are pretty neat (unlike the very difficult ones in the first game)

I've only played the first one on my arcade rig, hence with digital sticks.

this is the best game on my Xbox360 for sure !! .. Only downside is I cannot beat my own highscore when I've had 1 beer or smoked 1 joint :)

Same here....

I think we need to organize the review forum a bit more, in an effort to weed out games that are not functionaly possible to put on an arcade cab (in this case, unless you have a 360 in your cab and have analog joysticks mapped)

Either way, I think some sort of Prefix would be good...

Something Like

CABPC - Game Name
PC - Game Name
XBOX360 - Game Name
PS3 - Game Name
WII - Game Name

CABPC and PC are seperated in case people just really like a PC game and want to talk about it, even though it cannot be cab'd...

This is an arcade forum, and not the console section, so I think we need to keep the reviews mindful of that... (with words about controls mapping, etc)

+1  the Geometry Wars Retro Evolved is fantastic.

I did some looking around for a PC version of any of the others (especially Geometry Wars:Waves and Galaxies) but so far it looks like they were only released to xbox.

 :(

GW2 is definately worth the $10.00.   Grab three friends and some beers.......then explode alot.

Actually, if you like this, try Mutant Storm Reloaded too.   Only two player.....but quite fun.
