BUT...

1) I had to get the VGA adapter... extra cost there.. and I couldn't find out which ones where good

2) No way to hack the analog controllers (I still think this is the case).

3) I didn't have the cash... but ebay prices are sure to be lower now.

4) I didn't want to have to swap anything in my cab to get games to run.

So what good shooter games come on DC anyway?
And how bad is the flash on the screen?
And does it work with a VGA adapter?

Thanks :)

you could get a dc wheel.

Confidential Mission is a good shooter.  Virtua Cop 2 is on the DC I think.
The flash isn't bad.
It should work with the vga adaptor, even using the 15Hz mod found on this site :)  But that's what I heard from others here.  plus it depends on the gun too.  I hear Pelican guns are good.  I have a pelican gun and i like.  It's aim is a little up and tot he left but that;s what calibration is for.

My Sega Light guns did not work on my Eygo VGA monitor in 60 mhz (vga adaptor) ....
It's sad, I'll have to play on the TV inside the house...

The game that I really like is Vampire Night... it's by sega but uses the Namco Guncon/Guncon2 guns that are very accurage because of the video pass through. It doesn't work in the VGA double scan converter that I tried with the PS2. I'm trying other things as well.

Oh don't forget Namco's gun games... I was wondering if I ever get TimeCrisis working, if it would be worth the work to actually make a springloaded pedal for the darn game.

U might wanna try hooking R G and B plus sync (i think) to the composite in in on the gun

If anybody has played Virtua Cop 3 and Time Crisis 3 you'll know it's worth making your cabinet console compatable(their coming out for Xbox and PS2 respectively).

They both add a tactical element that makes all the past games in the genre utterly irrelevant.

It SHOULD work.
but you gotta crank up brightness and contrast all the way up.
then calibrate the gun.
works great on my nec 27" vga.
