Well, they claim it has a clear, felt-like surface, so it's not really that much harder a surface. (Plus, I dare you bang your head on a normal pool table surface.......did you do it? Yeah it hurt. You shouldn't do what people tell you)

patrickl:
Yeah a pooltable surface is basically just a piece (or pieces) of slate with a thin layer of cloth on top.

I do feel the balls don't run enough in that clip though. But then maybe they went for home/bar cloth rolling resistance instead of that of competition cloth.

I've got a Brunswick Montebello table, but it's still in storage. I miss it. I should get going with my game room :P

Ginsu Victim:
I agree the balls seem to slow down quicker than they should.

Ummon:
Hmmm. I wonder how the perspective would affect shots. Also, notice none of the balls were hit hard enough that to bounce. What about jump shots, etc? HEY, and what about surface wear?? Will that require removing it and re-doing it in the shop?

I can see that price because: it's heavy duty construction; it's a special process for the surface; and it's a total niche market. I'd like to check one out, but I bet I'd rather have a custom design of my own....or, at the very least, I'd use a tinted, translucent glass. Maybe amber. Or maybe a super dark purple.

makes me think of strippers & their addictions.

it just seems like it was made for such things
