| Need an opinion, maybe some suggestions... |

I'm still working on my upright racing cab, hoping to make some headway in the coming week when my wife's out of town ;D I have a 19" PC monitor set aside for this SCI cab, but after holding the bezel up to it, it looks like the original arcade monitor (which wasn't sold w/ the unit) was slightly bigger... more like a 20" tv or something. I have a 19" tv but it's old... doesn't even have direct inputs, only has coaxial cable inputs. I have an RF box for it so I could hook up a pc if I wanted to but the quality will be much less, and I'd have to get a different (but cheap) video card to do it. I'm thinking there are enough high-quality racing games that I will want the PC monitor, even if it's of a slightly smaller size and that re-bezeling the monitor is the way to go (adding a second inner bezel) but I wanted to scope some opinions, maybe even get some ideas of people's must-have pc-related or emulated racing games that really should be pc-monitor played. Or, if I'm off, and need another suggestion, that's good too... Thanks |

For whatever reason, computer monitors are not measured correctly, unlike TVs, arcade monitors, and everything else. Most 19" PC monitors are actually 18" or so 'viewable'. Try craigslist for a 20" or 21" PC CRT, which should be closer to the actual 19" -- they seem to be practically given away on there. Definitely avoid the RF TV connection. |
