I've never been able to understand why people live in that state.

There's no economy, a gigantic poor population, a social norm of 'be as obnoxiously conservative as you can in public', and the weather is terrible.

Oklahoma City is the only place I've been where a complete stranger felt compelled to approach me at a gas station and tell me how excessive my lifestyle was because I had an arcade game in the back of my truck.  Never gotten more than a "Wow, cool!" anywhere else.

Oh and the 11oz beer with the added 1oz of water is awesome, too.

I live in this state because I have an awesome wife, a great job, and I don't drink, so the beer is a non-issue. If I'd seen you with a cab in your truck, I would've said, "Dude, that's awesome!"

DaOld Man:
Power went off at my house in Ky. this morning at 4:30 AM.
Needless to say, I overslept and was late for work.
It came back on around 3:00 PM, but many many houses are dark around this county.
My son in Ohio County has no power, and I hear Elizabethtown is out.
Also trees are broken everywhere.
I have a big cedar tree at the edge of the back yard that lost its top 1/3. Naturally it fell on my side of the property line, so I got a job waiting for me when all this crap melts.
The rest of the trees look ok. I even have a bradford pear that hasnet broken... yet.
Bradford pears usauley fall down in a breeze so go figure.

Yep, I lost one about 2 years ago.  Weak trunks and top heavy doesn't make them built to withstand a bird landing on them let alone a 2 mph wind....  Surprised the ice hasn't knocked it down.

I live in Duncan and was born in Houston, TX.
