Jeez, you even do "golden hour" lighting techniques on your half done, unpainted bondo'd shells, and they come out looking ready for the Met!

Seriously  :notworthy:

This

I hate you Ond.  I created a workbench...oh look Ond created this fiberglass, putty, bondo, custom contruction that looks higher quality than my car.  Yeah my workbench is made of 2x4s and mdf!  ;)

goes really well with this

As for the rest, keep us up to date Ond, although I'm not a particularly big fan of the design you've chosen (I like things old school... don't listen to a cranky old man, man) your skills are obviously amazing and I'm eager to see the progress you make!

HOLY CRAP OND...NICE!!!!!!

I can't believe I'm joking about your lack of status updates one month then missing TWO WEEKS worth the next :(

FANTASTIC work!!!! /drool

That fiberglass is unbelievable and looks like it would be a blast to work with. I am so working with it on a future project and hadn't even thought of the solutions to a lot of issues it offers...WoW just WOW...

Oh and umm please keep the updates coming i won't miss them again!

Maybe I missed it but Ond, what are you planning on doing for the edges/joints?  I'm assuming no edge moulding?

O....M....G....

I've been following your cab for 18 months, Ond. You never cease to amaze me!  ;D

I'll almost be sad to see this project completed but I have the impression we're not far away now.

I wouldn't be too worried, Ond's project reminds me of the show Lost. The minute you think you are getting close to a conclusion, an even bigger and cooler piece of the story comes up. I'm sure we will be treated to a lot more eye candy before this project is over.

Awesome.

Prior to spraying the red paint, you should've went with a tooling gel and used this as a plug for a mold that you could pull the part from.  Then you could make many copies of your masterpiece.  ;)

It's a good thing you've showed us all the progress pics, because otherwise I think most of us would believe you simply went out and bought pre-fabbed commercially-produced genuine Astro (TM) arcade parts (tagline: The arcade cabinet that is out of this world) and were assembling this project from a kit. I am astounded by the quality of the finished product.

That looks great.  Love that red color still.

On a side note I went to the local autoparts store to pick up a couple small things and was looking at all the little cans of paint and the only thing I could think of was "Man, I wonder how many cans of this stuff Ond has went threw on his cab?".  LOL.

When the cab is all done will you have 1/2 naked female models draped across it like they do at auto shows?

After all the work you have put into the cab I just wish there was some incredible game (besides Mame) to run on it.
