Nice work.  Very neat paintwork.   :applaud:

Acetone is awesome stuff.  Always comes handy when you manage to super glue your fingers as well.  ;D

That paint work is really above and above everything else I've seen.  :notworthy: It will really look like it's ready for space once done.

The background will be that deep red you're painting you cab with, right?
Not the black you have in the pic above?
I can see picture it in my head: on a blue oval background with a chrome outline. (like a Ford emblem)
That'll look killer on the red.

That's never happened to me.......OK yes it has

Thanks man, I dunno though  :-\ there's some pretty awesome paint finishes getting done around this place, I draw ever closer to the actual paint finish, lotsa red!

Here's a mark II render of the cabs name ala Bender's suggestion with extra flourish.  (Click on the attachment for better view).

my, my, my, that looks AWESOME!!!!!

Awesome.  I agree with everyone else so far that has suggested the chrome badge.  Also, if you do go with printed art and since the cab will be red shouldn't the accents in the chrome be red too (instead of black which goes with the background in the pic)?

Personally I'd lose the year, dates the project and clutters it up a little IMHO
Just astro with the top sweep would rock, simple but elegant, like the cab

Agreed, less is more. It could be even more stylized though, like a real ornament. I imagine wings on both sides. *fires up Photoshop*

That looks very nice.  :applaud: I just think that the "tail drop" of the sweep clashes a bit with the top of the surrounding oval, you know what I mean, as it does not sit parallel? Ah, the nonsensical mumblings of a non-native English speaker...  ;D

Wow I like that as well...very nice and retro...it really captures the overall theme of the cab imo...that futuristic interpretation of the 50s/60s.

Just think one day you will be playing on this thing...although id almost be tempted to build another less awesome cab so you can seal the original away in glass!

Very cool logo you have going there.  I like the sweep and wing effect.  Makes me think of a 1950s car.

This Project never ceases to amaze me with your never ending ingenuity. Bravo!!  :applaud: By the way, I have found a pencil, a sponge, and a ball of lint laying about...Do you think you could manufacture a control panel feature from that??? :laugh2: I cannot wait to see the finished project. Even my wife, who cares nothing for arcade machines (although she has been a great sport about my endeavors) was impressed with your skills!

Very Cool!

I used some fake mother of pearl snaps for button caps (as well as to actually snap down some of the fabric that upholsters part of my cab).

They work great, transluscent, but they have that pearly opaque look when there's no lighting.

Great stuff!

Love the way it looks.  :applaud:

There's so many different aspects to this CP but you've still managed to keep it looking very clean and simple.

Also, are your admin buttons clear Seimitsu PS-14-KN's with the plunger removed and your own art added in? or something else?  I reckon they look fantastic.

You know how Pi has an endless calculation? That's how I feel about Ond's ability to amplify this cabinet's God-like status. Just when you think there's nothing else that could possibly bring more beauty to this symphony, there's more.
