That CP unit is just amazing.  It looks like it just rolled off the line of some professional manufacturing outfit.

I am truly glad that I finished up most of my project before your build pictures started going up, or else I may have gotten really discouraged when mine didn't turn out to have anywhere close to your level of professionalism!

I look forward to reading this thread every time that I see you've updated it!

Hey OND, where did you get that chrome collar? (and do they come in other sizes?)

I searched online and cannot locate anything like that. I want to make a button similiar to yours, but have it be the power button for the machine.

Ahhh I see. Yea I scrounge alot of stuff too. I try to search the interweb for anything that could be frankensteined into something cool for my cab.

I just found these today and ordered a couple for experiments. See pics below.

I really like these original design arcade projects. I find them much more interesting than a standard box. And this cabinet is turning out beautifully. The quality of the finish on that control panel is unbelievable. Very sharp and professional looking. I am really impressed.

I'm putting only one switch per side for flippers but making a 'tilt' sensor switch for inside the CP.  The unit will be on castors and have some movement so tilt is possible.  I'll test first before really committing to that though, if it sucks I'll add extra switches near flippers as you say - be nice if it worked though  ;D .

First off, great build thread - I am just now enjoying catching up on your unique design.  :applaud:

Second, did you happen to see the announcement of the new U-HID-G? It might save you quite a bit of fiddle time.

Damn.  That is unbelievable.  I'm so jealous of your skills.  How did you achieve such even lighting?  The LEDs diffused nicely along the surface.  I can't believe the level of work going on here.  That thing looks like it came right out of the factory.  Unreal.  I can't wait to see what's next.
