Are "Nintendo buttons" just long Wico Leafswitch buttons?
javeryh:
I'm specifically asking about Donkey Kong, I guess, since that is what I'll be restoring. Lizardlick is selling Wico NOS Long Leafswitch Pushbuttons for $2.00 each and I'm wondering if these are the exact same ones used in a Donkey Kong cab. I am pretty sure the regular Happs buttons are 1/16" too big for the CP holes. MikesArcade sells a "Donkey Kong" set but for $15. I'd love to get them new for $6.75 (including the Pal Nut) though.
Thanks!

You can see the difference in the pics you posted if you look at the "body" of the button (e.g. the part that goes through the hole).
Here is a lousy pic of two buttons from my Big Box o' Buttons with a spacer ring from a VS control panel. The Wico has a bigger body (the Nintendo button is just a hair narrower than a standard Happ button).

Thanks for the info! I guess I'll be ordering from Mike's. I should probably go all out and get the BUTTON HOLDERS and MICROSWITCHES too, right? $41.25 +tax and shipping for three buttons, the holders and the switches seems pricey to me but I want to do this right...
