| Help!!! Can't remove bolts from Star Wars yoke!! |

I'm trying to remove the gears from my Star Wars yoke. I figured, Japanese controller - metric allen keys... nope. I have a few imperials as well but none of them fit either!!! Anyone know the exact size to use? The gear allen bolts don't have a nib in the middle so I didn't think they were a security type. Am I wrong? I've sold this gear and I HAVE to get it off! FAST! Can anyone offer some advice? |

Any room to get a dremel in there with the little blade attatchment and grind a little slot for a flathead screwdriver ? You could try the sears craftsman "screw out" extractor bits. Also a left handed drill bit would probably do it. I think Harbour Frieght tools carrys them. They're not torx screws are they? Sometimes if torx screws are clogged up with rust and crud they can look like hex/allen screws. I would also saturate them with penetrating oil and let em sit overnight. Rusty frozen screws are definately on my top ten list of things that suck. :( If the screws aren't too miniscule and you have the room sometimes whacking the side of the screw in a counter clockwise direction with a small center punch and hammer can jar a rusted screw loose . Good luck B. :-\ |

*digs through tools* *digs through parts box* ouch! OK, looks like it's a 7/64" allen key you need. "Why, thank you 1UP!" ;) BTW, I don't know why you'd use metric -- Atari is/was all American, though they took a Japanese name due to Nolan Bushnell's fetish for Japanese board games... |

7/64!?!? Well there's a nice even number! Thanks so much! *dashes off to store!* |

DOH !!! Don't know why I thought the screws were stripped out. Bangs empty head on wall and signs up for a post reading class for special people. |
