Project : C-MACC'S 2 - (update - Subzero Cooling Phase change -50 c)
javeryh:
With the risk of sounding rude, what is the point of this? Does it somehow improve computer performance? Is there a reason you are going through all of this trouble (and expense)? It looks way cool though...

well atm i can over clock my E5200 from 2.6ghz to 4.66 Ghz stable.
Using this i should in they be able to hit between 5 to 5.2 Ghz stable. (this being more than a 100% over clock on a cheap £48 cpu) meaning im more than doubling the speed of the pc CPU.
Don't forget MAME is CPU dependant and this will give me a larger ratio of games being able to run at full speed on a 32" tft screen.
Throw this together with my 4 x F1's in raid the boot up times and loading times will be to say the least fast.
Not only that ... It will be a first ... (hold's big heavy brass balls in hand) ;).
Im taking my skill's and implementing my knowledge of over clocking, arcade building, design and what ever else i can to build some thing that literally is just a pure beast.
All in all the pc will have water cooled GPU's (graphics cards) - Sub zero CPU cooling and a few other bits and bobs to make this system just rocket.
and this is what happens when a phase unit is turned on with out protective layer ...
All that is then connected onto the CPU alone brining the temp of the cpu from around 34c to about - 30c / -40c
My only real problem will be getting every thing to fit.
Ive got to be able to fit all this inside c-macc's 2

this is the temps running a quad core

So how much are you spending so you can use a 'cheap' £48 cpu?
