the marquee light switch is a good idea!

those black strips are for the screen? i used double sided sticky tape, but you cant touch the little lines (touchscreen sensors i think) on the screen with it

Those are the countersink areas for the wires.

my screen has 4 wires, on all sides 1

Oh, both of those 15"ers I bought off of ebay only had them on the two sides.

I think the monitor I bought had 3 sensors. Both sides and bottom. (For what it's worth).
