yeah, I saw some coverage on this in a few magazines. I am holding VERY HIGH hopes for this game. I can't wait to get my hands on it to give it a try.... |

InsertCredit.com has a review of this game (I believe it's the same one) in their E3 coverage. They hated it... and I trust insertcredit and mmcafe over just about anything else... certainly over a magazine or commercialized website clearly in on the hype machine. On a related note, do yourself a favor and go read insertcredit! It's some of purest video-game journalism out there, though they tend to focus more on rarer/import stuff. Same goes for mmcafe. |

I just searched around on insertcredit. They seem like they are geared towards consoles.. But it was nice to see that they still do a n64 or dreamcast review every so often... But they didn't have a search, and I couldn't find the TMNT review. But for me... I will wait for the demo version. And of course try it! A lot of newer gamers don't like the classic arcade type of gameplay. So I would be sceptical about a console website review on it. But then again, I DON'T BUY ANY ANY ANY games without trying a demo first. I've been burned... bad...(penasilian please) |

Insert Credit talked a little bit about it in their E3 impressions. They said it played like the old games. The only problem was when the old games came out they were groundbreaking. Now scrolling fighters have been done to death and its just boring. I'd be more inclined to keep an eye on Viewtiful Joe from Capcom. It's the first scrolling beat-em-up in years to try something new. You can block, dodge, combo etc. just like in a sophisticated 1vs1 2d fighter. The graphical style is also very interesting. Hopefully Viewtiful Joe will pave the way for a resurgance in the scrolling fighter. It certainly needs a new direction. |
