This will sort of be my journal for the progress of my Cab :)  More to come soon!




UPDATE Friday 9th January 2008:

HOLY SMURF!  I've just come back from a quick look at a few 2nd hand places for a good monitor for my cab, and the last shop had a giant CRT Monitor that would look perfect and it had $5-00 written on it in black marker (Also 'Is very DARK!' written next to it).

At first i thought naaah it has to be at least $50!  I lugged the big bugger up to the checkout, and it scanned at $5!

On the way home I was trying not to get excited 'cause it was $5 and that 'DARK' warning probably meant, BLACK.

Plugged her in, and after a few settings got:



Wow!  It is certainly a tiny bit dark, but i was going to put a tinted plexi over the screen to get this effect  :laugh2:

Sorry for the crappy photos, but it does look really arcade authentic.  The screen looks a tiny bit fuzzy in Windows, but when playing a game actually makes it look more like an arcade monitor than a pc monitor  :applaud:

Anyways, thanks for listening :)  I'm so happy at the moment !!!!

btw, that is $5 AUD so its actually $3.50 US, BARGAIN!

Five bucks.......but how much is the hernia operation gunna cost? :dunno
