Gauntlet, TMNT (though this has a 2-player version, as do X-Men, Simpsons, etc), and Rampage have been named. I believe some of the D&D games require separate coins as well.

And there's also games like Captain America where as the four player version required FOUR coin slots. (one per specific character)

The two player version had selectable characters, in that case then the number of coin slots doesn't really matter. (one slot is fine) 

General rule of thumb is if there is a game that may have an issue with needing more than one coin slot it will be a four player game.

Do what i do and set all 4 coins as your coin button in mame
then every time you press the coin button you get 4 coins
