Oh, yeah, I see what happened, I wrote my message while ahofle was posting his and I didn't see it. I did get that message that said "someone else posted a message while you were composing yours" but i ignored it. :-[ |

--- Quote from: blind_dado on January 08, 2009, 01:50:38 pm ---It's a bit complicated: The IPAC is in the control panel, so the coin 1 and coin 2 on the CP easily go to that. I have one wire leftover from my admin panel that goes into the CP through a DB9 plug in the back, and I can use that to wire one of the coin door slots. To get a seperate coint 2, I'd have to drill a hole in the back of the CP just for that wire, which I really want to avoid. --- End quote --- If you're like me, not wiring up the second slot ahead of time might bother you down the road, even if it is otherwise servicable. Reworking the wiring (without drilling - i.e. maybe a new connector, like an inexpensive Molex) is not the worse thing you'd have to redo on a cabinet. |

My advice would be to definitely add a 'player 2 coin' button. Some games, though thinking of any in particular escapes me now, required seperate coin inputs for each player and did not necessarily have a dip switch setting for single coinage. Plus, having a seperate coin button gives you another button for mapping on emulators besides MAME, such as the 'select' button on SNES emulators or similar platforms with lots of buttons on the controller. |

has this been addressed?: you can wire more than one button at a time to any I-pac input. You could wire your button and coin slot together... |
