Nugget A platformer with an interesting story, hub-world, and plane-shifting mechanics. http://www.grudlux.com/nugget/ Don't let the simplistic graphics fool you, this game really does have some great gameplay and heart to it. |

Chompston A freeware pac-man clone with rhythm elements and borrowed mechanics from Bomberman. Solid game, I tried it on my rig and it was fully controllable using the joystick and two buttons, enter/bomb drop, and exit. Even the menu system was navigable through the joystick conrols (moving a mouse cursor with directional keys, good-on the dev for remembering to include that). Add to that the levels randomly generate and a single hi-score is kept and you have a great pac-man clone that stands above the rest for it's simplicity and fun. http://www.contralogic.com/games/chompston/ |

Cannonball Post by BadMouth: --- Quote from: BadMouth on January 28, 2013, 09:25:34 am ---Analog support has been added to Cannonball. :applaud: I just saw this update and haven't tried it yet. (I will tonight!) This isn't an emulator, but a complete rewrite in C++ by someone with a deep understanding of the game. However, it requires MAME roms for the graphics and sound. Cannonball is a program which allows you to play an enhanced version of Yu Suzuki's seminal arcade racer, OutRun, on a variety of systems: 60 fps gameplay (smoother than the original game) True widescreen mode (extend the play area by 25%) High Resolution mode (improves sprite scaling) Time Trial Mode Cheats Customisable Music High Score Saving Western, Japanese & prototype track support Analog & Digital controllers supported Fixes bugs present in the original game http://reassembler.blogspot.co.uk/p/cannonball-open-source-outrun-engine.html --- End quote --- |
