"Official" list for PC Games On Cab

<< < (30/55) > >>

Dan_Dan_91_07:
Scrabble Plus can be played with a mouse/trackball/touchscreen.

It does require you to enter a name with a keyboard to create any profiles you want to use, but you only have to do this once. Although if you want to make use of the in game dictionary, you will need a keyboard - scrolling trough a list of 100,000s of words isn't exactly practical! You could always use an on-screen keyboard that will stay on top of the game in fullscreen however - which is what I am planning on doing. Touch-It's free version is the one I use, found here - http://www.chessware.ch/virtual-keyboard/ It works and looks great on a touchscreen, plus it let's you control how transparent it is and it lets you minimise it - so it's a real good keyboard, just in case you're interested.

It's gonna be amazing in my cab!  :) I really wanted a few games that make use of the touchscreen - now I just need a chess game and some quiz games... maybe others as well, if I can find anything good.

SuperXero:
Split/Second can also be played.  Once installed, remapping the keys is a cinch, however, it requires the Enter/Escape/Tab keys to go forward, back, and change color of your vehicle, respectively.

However, if you have AutoHotKey or AutoIt, this is a simple fix that could be done by a macro.

EDIT:  Using the SF4 keyboard fix, Blur is also playable on the cabinet, and what a fun 4 player game that is! :)

Hi, everyone.  A while ago I started maintaining a similar list of cabinet-friendly DOS games to be played on DOSBox.  I'm not sure if they have a place in a list like this, being that they're for DOS, and are therefore seriously old-school.  Anyway, here's what I've come up with thus far.

 8) These are 100% cabinet-friendly:
- Bananoid
- Battle Chess
- Beats of Rage
- C-Dogs
- Cyberdogs
- Electro Man
- Executioners
- Galactic Battle
- Jump 'n Bump
- MsPac Pc
- One Must Fall: 2097
- PC*Bert
- Pac PC
- Prince of Persia
- Round42
- Spot
- TerraFire
- Tyrian/Tyrian 2000

 :-\ These are mostly cabinet-friendly:
- Alien Carnage
- Bio Menace
- Classic Jumpman
- Commander Keen IV: Goodbye, Galaxy!
- Commander Keen: Invasion of the Vorticons
- Commander Keen: Keen Dreams
- Dangerous Dave
- Digger Remastered
- Galactix
- God of Thunder
- Jazz Jackrabbit
- Raptor: Call of the Shadows
- Scorched Earth: The Mother of All Games
- SkyRoads
- Stargunner
- Wacky Wheels

I guess this thread doesn't get too many additions to it, not sure why, I guess most people still play emulators on their machines.

I do too but after the success of lego star wars on my machine I am keen to see what else can run which is more up to date and more or less friendly to cabs.  I have a keyboard tray so I dont mind using it to start up games but I would only like the gameplay to involve the arcade controls and no keyboard.

My mame pc unfortunately got placed in use in my workshop but I get to replace it, probably with an i5 and a spare 5770 I have had lying around.  This opens up more modern pc games to try.

It looks like console ports could be good candidates,  I was looking at dungeon siege 3 as a possibility.  Has anyone tried that or any other more up to date games than currently listed?
