Lost power for ten days and had five acres of this to clean up.
(got plenty of firewood though)

The one cool part about that is walking through the trees with that 1/2" coating of ice on everything.  It's like walking through a glass forest.   ;D

Ummon:
Still got some good snow on the mountains. This was yesterday, though the cloud cover last night kept it there through today. I should make a trip up there just to play. Curious, the green-leaved trees in the fore-ground, eh?

Been freezing in the seattle metro area for the past week or so.  We usually get a short bout of near freezing temps, but for it to be below freezing for more than a few days in a row is a once in a decade event.  It hasn't been above freezing for more than a few hours all week, and we're expecting another doozy of a storm tonite with high winds and a chance of 4-12" of snow in the metro area.

I'm from snow country so I like it and can handle the weather and roads, but damn it's funny seeing folks who get their panties in a twist when it snows hit the roads......

No its not.  Didn't you see the global warming thread over in PnR?  It's 110 degrees there...

DaOld Man:
It got up to 72 here yesterday, today was 45, they are saying tomorrow night will be 5-10 degrees.
WTF?
