| D-Pad for control panel |

Hi all, Does anyone know if there is a d-pad that is designed for an arcade control panel, ideally one that could go into a standard pushbotton hole? Or, a very small joystick to server the same purpose? I am converting my Rush the Rock sit down racer to an Xbox powered system, and i need a D-pad for menu navigation as not all games let you use the wheel for navigation. Thanks for any help. I can't seem to find one, I would like one the size of an anolog joystick on an xbox controller. Any help would be appreciated. |

I'm not sure how big these actually are, but the name sounds interesting: http://happcontrols.com/joysticks/50275500.htm or if you could find a way to mount it, maybe this one http://www.p3america.com/pp/802.htm that website looks to have a few promising options: http://www.p3america.com/industrial_joystick_miniature_selection_guide.htm How do you plan on mounting it? I think putting it on the steering column like a gear shift would look cool, but maybe near the gear shift would be better. |

Thanks for the help. I found this joystick online and it looks to be a good match for what I want. http://www.trossenrobotics.com/store/p/3255-Mini-Joy-Stick.aspx?feed=Froogle It is small enough to put on the dashboard. I will use it as a digital D-pad instead of an analog joystick, but it should work. I plan to mount it near the abort button. Here is a picture of the dash I found at Arcadehits.net. I plan to add several more buttons so that I have all of the Xbox buttons remapped. The shifter paddles will be in a modified shifter in the standard shifter location on the cabinet. Thanks again for the input. |
