For some weird reason, I really like Elvis.

Others I liked playing a lot include Cirqus Voltaire and Theatre of Magic.

Oddly enough, I don't like Twilight Zone. I also dislike Medieval Madness which seems to be everyone's favorite.
Old, but not obsolete.

Addams Family, Fun House, Twilight Zone, Jokerz!, The Getaway, Bride of Pinbot, Theatre of Magic

All of those, not in any specific order.

My all time favorite was Rollercoaster Tycoon.   I also loved Maverick: The Movie back in the day.  Another one I loved was "Break Shot".    I also loved the one with an outer space theme with levels like "Paris in Peril" and "Big-o-Beam" but I cannot remember the name.

Eight Ball Deluxe

Silver Ball Mania

Galaxy

Those 3 were my life lines when quarters were running low and I wanted to stay at the arcade.
I would play till I racked up enough free credits to sell off and rinse and repeat.

I have not played a lot of pins, and they are hard to find here in Kansas City, but I do like Jurassic Park The Lost World, Twilight Zone, Jokerz!.  Monopolly was the first new(er) Stern machine I have played and it was pretty good.  I finally played an Addams Family and was a bit disappointed.  Maybe it was all build up of it being one of the funnest games, or maybe I didn't get to play enough.
Pins:  Theatre Of Magic, JP The Lost World, Revenge From Mars

1. Monster Bash
2. Twilight Zone
3. Theatre of Magic

There are a lot of others I really like though...

Fish Tales
The Addams Family
Funhouse
Scared Stiff

...and really the list goes on and on.

I've been looking around for a Genesis.  Can't seem to find one.  Backglass sucks but I like the gameplay.

Once I got mine fixed and shopped I was surprised by how good a game Laser Cue is.  The art is pretty gay but the specific sequenced drop targets make it challenging.  I actually went to the trouble of hunting down a replacement backglass for it.

I've been thinking about what I'd like my stable lineup to look like and it goes roughly:

Black Knight
High Speed
Revenge From Mars
Fathom
Xenon
1-2 rotating games

Xenon is not set in stone yet and I still have to get High Speed.  The rest I already have.

I never played many pins, but Black Knight always stuck in my mind as a favorite. Probably the two level aspect. Now that I am working on my second MAME cab and seeing all of the different projects on here, I am wanting to get a pinball machine.
I don't know where I'd put it, which seems to be a common problem around here :angry:
To game, or not to game...what kind of question is that!?

In no particular order...

 Tales of the Arabian Nights, Indiana Jones (Williams),  Medievil Madness,
White Water, Black Knight 2000,  No Fear, Haunted House, Theatre of Magic,
Fire, Monster Bash, Guns n Roses, Creature from the Black Lagoon,
Dungeons and Dragons ? (wasnt tuned up, and not much time on it... but was
fun), Space Station,   Medusa (I found this to be quite fun to play, tho its very
shallow compared to most new pins. love the art too)

 Also, there was an old EM pin that had two racecars in the backbox, that went round a
track as you racked up points.  Slow moving, but really a blast to play.  Lots of shake
needed to keep the ball in play for long durations.

I also really dig Knockout.  It plays slowly enough that you can go for coffee if the ball goes to the top of the playfield but I love the little animated boxers.  Believe it or not there is one on location at an "arcade museum" in RI I take my family to in the summertime.  Same place also has an MM on $.25 play and a Big Bang Bar.

I've not played a ton of pins... and frankly,  before getting in this hobby when I played I only played to keep the ball in play...never knowing the rules of the game.  Since discovering there actually is a "ruleset" to these games,  I've only played a handfull of games...

Stern Lightning - FAST....my first pin...I enjoy it quite a bit.  The horseshoe shot stuffs the ball back in your face...and getting multiball is tough,  though not too tough.   I am still learning some of the nuances of the game.

Bally Spy Hunter...the game so many people love to hate.  Why?  Because the right side of the machine is a ball drain.  When you realize that you can close the inside gate with a skill shot from the shooter lane it makes the game much more enjoyable.  That said,  the left side is STILL a ---smurfette---.

Stern Family Guy - One word "BORING".  The game damn near plays itself.  Sure,  all the toys make it fun the first game...but I can see it getting really old really quick.

I don't recall what it was called(maybe you could help me out), it had to do with space, was light blue, and between the flippers was a rubber peg, so balls couldn't go straight out.

the thing is that it wasn't very, uh, adorned. It was pretty simple, it was my favorite because it was one of 3-4 pinball machines i had access to, and it gave a lot of free games.

Hi guys,

Just wondering what your favorite pinball machine ever was to play?

Mine is Lord of the Rings.

Have not had a chance to play a lot of pins but do have a few opinions.

Of the games I own, Firepower puts the biggest smile on my face. I can't wait to clearcoat mine and see just how fast it can be! Of the games I have played, Monster Bash was probably my favorite, although I have played many that were close to that level of fun.

Some other pinballs I remember playing that were fun back in the day:

* Jurrassic Park

* Street Fighter II

* Bang Bang Bar

* King Pin

* There was another one I remember that had like a workmen or construction like theme to it that had voice prompts of "monday", "tuesday", "wednesday", "thursday", "friday", "overtime" (if I remember them right) and some other prompts like "beach party" (for spring break), and others.  This was probably in the mid 1990s.  Anyone remember it?

* Another one I remember was a soccer theme.  It played differently than a normal pinball in which you tried to get the ball upwards to score goals.   If the ball went down, the computer scored a goal.  Depending on the position of the virtual players, the bumpers would either bump the ball up or down.   This game was timer based instead of a certain number of balls.  Anyone remember the title of this game?

Hmmm, there are quite a few favorites I have and I would have to break it down via eras.  But overall probably my favorite 'modern' machine would be Creech (Creature From The Black Lagoon).  To me this was one of few games that got it ALL right in my book.  I love the music, the 50's drive in theme is fantastic.  Great gameroom addition to any sci-fi or 50's lover.

Surprisingly my second favorite game is one many people hate and that is Congo.   I dunno why, but I really like this game a lot.

Cirqus Voltaire is up there as well and I would say just has a bit of an edge over Theatre Of Magic.

I am overall not too fond of extremely deep rule set games.  While I initially took a liking to games like Twilight Zone and White Water, my interest in them phased out pretty quickly.  TZ's music and sound system is really cool though.

Going back the next era I like are the 80's games such as Pinbot, Cyclone, Fathom, Seawitch.  There are many here I like.

I like some of the transitionary era games too such as some of the Gottlieb system one games Sinbad, Countdown, Strikes N Spares, Pinball Pool are a few favorites from this era.

In the EM arena I have a few that I am interested in as well:  Spanish Eyes, Roller Coaster, Ship Ahoy are a few of my favorites.

So overall it would be a tough call, but if I had room up to four machines, I would like one from each era.
