MUGEN - Where to start?

I have been having a heck of a time trying to figure this out, does anybody know where I can buy a DVD-pack of MUGEN already set up and ready to go?  I just can't seam to make any progress setting this game up, and it looks absolutely amazing.  Every pack I download I end up crossing files, messing up installation, or something.

Don't pay for MUGEN.  There are plenty of places around the internet where you can download already put together games.  A quick search on mininova turns up several.

I have to be honest, I don't know much of the different versions.  I'm hoping to set up something like what I've seen with the everyone vs. everyone....but like I said every time I try to get the files going I somehow mess it up.  Noob syndrome.

Mugen can be a real pain in the butt. Most anything you will download from torrent sites are a mess, for the most part that is. I just spent countless hours sorting through this stuff any setting it all up for myself. I think through it all, I have seen the best and certainly the worst that Mugen has to offer. With Mugen there is a lot of cool stuff out there but for as much as there is cool, there is twice as much junk!

Unless you are willing to settle for the junk along with the good be prepared for countless hours of sorting stages and characters.

here is were i got a few versions they are not bad, but visitor Q is right most versions suck and are a real pain in the ass to setup the buttons, open, play, and so on

The controls are the easy part, sorting through all the junk characters and stages... 

Some people set Mugen up in a way to "have it all" so to speak but when you see what is included in "all", you won't want it... Trust Me!
