I feel the same about restoring a dedicated vs making a Mame cab. There's also the issue of space: a dedicated machine seems like a 'luxury' when you can have a more generic cab run multiple games for parties. But one day when I have a proper house with a games room, I would love to add some classic cabs to the collection.
I'm glad the alien cab has a source of funding! I've been enjoying following that build.

Agreed, I'd still like to have a mint Black Tiger conversion and an Xevious original one.
