| Painting a trackball mounting plate |
| (1/1) |
| stephenp1983:
I have one of the happs trackball mounting plates that is currently black, not the zinc one. Is there a good method to painting these to match my cab. Something that would stick and not just flake off? |
| Sardu:
an oiled based paint won't come off. Like rustoleum gloss. That stuff lasts forever. |

Would I just need to sand the exsisting black off and then apply the oil based paint of my choice? |

Considering you want to paint it, I can only assume you are concerned about aesthetics. Route out the wood, recess the plate and put CPO over it. It's not that hard and it'll look a zillion times better. ;) |
