| Multimeter Diode test work as continuity test? |
| (1/1) |
| Epyx:
I recently purchased: Link Now before anyone jumps on me for not reading up on electronics before creating my own circuit boards...rest easy...I have one purpose only and its a simple one to have the multimeter assist me with a continuity test for testing wires on portable CP wiring. I have no ambitions beyond CP wiring...no high voltage stuff here! :) Now the unit I purchased doesn't seem to have a dedicated continuity test but it does have a diode test. When I use the diode test to test wires etc I get readings when its the same wire and 0 when it isn't. Would this in a sense work just like a continuity test? |

Generally you want to use the ohms setting for that unless your diode test beeps when you use it. |
