Um, they're in a different country. Good luck. Notice not even the article writer is saying the name 'Gotham'. Funny.
Actually, Ray, Turkey is very old - it could go the other way.

People in other countries have the same access to our courts as we have, so long as the court has jurisdiction over all the parties (it does here).
The best part of this is that some American lawyer (or at least a lawyer with a U.S. law degree) is actually getting paid to bring this lawsuit. Up next, studios overwhelmed with lawsuits for such films as Sleepless in Seattle, Philadelphia, L.A. Confidential, Sin City, Escape from NY, Escape from LA, Miami Vice, Elizabethtown, Beverly Hills Cop, Fargo, Honeymoon in Vegas, Leaving Las Vegas, Casablanca, Paris Je T'amie, Happy Texas, My Own Private Idaho, etc., etc., etc.
Ha . . . and those are just what I could think of by myself. And just think . . . those cases are all FAR stronger than the case at bar cos the titles in those films are actually referring to the city in question, whereas nobody has every even heard of Batman, Turkey, LMAO :laugh2:
You know who cities should really start suing? Other cities. For example, I was born in Vancouver. Vancouver, WA, that is. BC should totally sue. And Paris, TX . . . common, France should be all over that.
Ummon:
What about Parris Island? One thing judges are required to be able to do is discern when something is an abuse of the law and throw the case out. If it doesn't happen in this particular one, it wouldn't surprise me if it's because the judge is wanting a working vacation. Then they'll rule against it.
