Flake, yours is also helpful, do you have a G25 or a Momo?

I'm using the Logitech Driving Force Pro.

Make sure the CP doesn't round over too much on the top.
That makes the clamps have to work alot harder to keep it on the board.

Is the Logitech Driving force a good alternative?

As far as "rounding" do you mean the front being slightly concave (bowing out further in the middle)?  If so, Houston, we have a problem.

That's not what I was meaning, but that may be a problem as well.
I was meaning rounding over the top-front edge of the CP.
The wheel contacts the table pretty close to the front on top, and a rounded edge makes it less stable.

The Driving Force Pro and GT are good alternatives.
They both have 900 degree steering.
The 900 degree steering keeps you from hitting an artificial end of travel....most of the time.
I keep mine set to 360 degrees on the PC, which gives you 1/2 turn in either direction.

The Driving Force EX is a budget alternative.
The force feedback motors aren't as strong, and it doesn't have 900 degree steering.
I got my two from a refurb dealer for $30 shipped each though.
The EX is needed on the PS2 for alot of the older games that won't recognize a steering wheel hooked up through USB.
