Mameroom Designs has just released a new product as a result of many inquires:  A control panel pedastal.

We are also working on different designs...one that is completely enclosed with a coin door and a keyboard drawer.

Hows the stability on that thing?

I'm sure you guys tested it and all, just curious how a heavy control panel on top and 2 adults yanking on controls would affect stability.

It is pretty solid, not quite the same rigidness as if mounted to a UAII cabinet.  It only weighs 35 lbs, so you can tip it over if you tried...

...this product was designed to be lightweight so it could be moved around easily, as it is not meant to be a permanant fixture.  We are designing another model that is fully enclosed, with a coin door, rear vented panel, and a hinged top that the control panel sits on...exposing a keyboard area inside.  This model is meant to be more of a permanant fixture within a gameroom and is rock solid.

I'm a big fan of your products...

What are the chances that the one you're designing now will support your 4 player panel?  Any estimated time of arrival?

The new stand (and the current one) will support the 4-player controllers.  We hope to have the new stand available for purchase this week.
