The last place I know of that had Coinco door parts was The Great Amusement Emporium http://www.amusemp.com/ You have to be a game operator to buy from them though and there is now a $2,000 minimum order! You could also go back to the original manufacturer, www.coinco.com and email them asking if they still have parts for the 2802 door. |

Thanks Ken and that is exactly what I did...this is the response I got via email: --- Quote ---Unfortunately Gordon, these have been obsolete for many years. Coinco no longer builds game doors. We do not have parts for these anymore. Sorry. --- End quote --- Lol...oh well I will give your link a shot and perhaps with a great sad sob story about restoring a cabinet for the local orphanage perhaps they will swing me a break on the $2k min order... The other option is I could try to repair the plastic (has burn holes in it) and level it off and put some kind of adhesive graphical overlay on the top with exactly the same text and look of the original... |

I had a closer look on getting home today (they had just arrived yesterday) and it looks like it may not be a coinco after all. I will post pictures but basically the quarter slot is part of the reject button unlike the coinco unit. This leaves me optimistic I can find replacement parts from the more universal offerings at Happs. |

Here are some updated pics to maybe help identify them: You can see a bit more clearly that the quarter goes into the Reject coin button and not beside it. |

Someone has mistakenly put a "Coin Controls" brand coin mech into one of the Coin Acceptors (a.k.a. Coinco) brand coin door. You do indeed have two Coin Acceptors (Coinco) model 2802 doors. They were made with two styles of reject buttons over the years. The first style (and the one that was in production the longest) was the red one in which the coin passes THROUGH the button. The second style (and the one that was only in production a couple of years) was the orange one where the coin passes TO THE LEFT of the button. Both of these styles are shown in the manual I linked you to. Remember, a COINCO red reject button LOOKS like a Coin Controls red reject button, but they are NOT the same and do NOT interchange. Coinco (Coin Acceptors) are all 100% made in America to American hardware standards & measurements. Coin Controls products are made in England and are 100% METRIC hardware standards and measurements. |
