Them Could also be handy for an acceptable Xybots replacement for those unique twist/spring sticks. -J --- End quote --- M.A.C.H. 3, maybe? |

M.A.C.H. 3 needs only 2 buttons, according to MAWS: http://www.mameworld.net/maws/ (search on "mach3" & "usvsthem"). 2 buttons are guns & bombs for overhead view segments, guns & missiles for behind-the-plane segments. It came out in 83, & Us Vs. Them came out in 84, as a conversion kit for M.A.C.H. 3. Odd that the image on klov.com shows a 3-button stick on M.A.C.H. 3...wonder how the buttons are mapped? M.A.C.H. 3 had the 3 button-stick, since it needed only 2...perhaps Mylstar had the foresight to figure that they might want a 3-button stick for a future kit...? -Jason |

As I recall from playing it way back when (caution: foggy memory ahead), the M.A.C.H. 3 joystick didn't NEED the trigger and two buttons, but it did USE them. The trigger was for firing guns, while the thumb buttons were for missiles and bombs, just like the buttons on the control panel. This appears to be consistent with the instruction manual available on KLOV.com, as well. |

Go for the 2 button plus trigger model. You can never have too many buttons ;D I have one and agree the thing is built like a tank. I don't find myself using it as much as I thought I would, however. |

Great stick for DOT. Make sure you get the push/pull spinner to go with it... I'm very pleased with this controller, worth every penny. My only complaint is that it is way too twitchy for the lightcycle portion of the first Tron game. |
