How much is an original Tron machine worth?

From the picture it looks like the side art has significant blemishes. Not unexpected for the age of the game, mind you, but it certainly hasn't been restored to perfection (i.e. new side art). For $900 I'd expect far better than "pretty good for over 20 years old". Again though, that's just a reflection of what it's worth to me.

Also, I don't want to come across as an expert on trons at all. I have never owned one. I am only a shopper who has been watching for one for a couple of months, and have made some unsuccessful offers. I think the ones that I've seen locally have been over priced, but again, if no one will sell them for "the right price" then what does it matter? It comes down to how much it's worth to you, and how patient you are with regard to waiting for the right deal.

I got mine locally (luckily) for $350, but that was a few years ago. It's in abbout as good of shape as that in is. I wouldn't go higher than 500 for that and 500 is pushing it. 400 is sounding better. Good luck with it. It's still a a blast.

Since he is from Festus just offer him $350 & some anhydrous Ammonia  :laugh2:

Bender:

If it's local I'd go look at it and play it. If it's in MINT condition (in other words you don't have to anything to it) then It's worth $900
I paid $750 for mine and it needs a bit of work, actually a lot to get it to be mint and I think I over paid. I got it off ebay so I couldn't actually see it and the seller had put up pictures of a different machine and of course I didn't find that out till it was shipped, oh well live and learn, at least I can play Tron and restore it at my leisure. Keep in mind if you have to have it shipped from somewhere else it will cost at least $350

on the other hand I got a Donkey Kong locally for $300  It needed some work (including re-caping the monitor) but was a very good deal in the end
