| How much is an original Tron machine worth? |

Seller claims the game works perfectly. Not sure about cabinet condition as the pics aren't real close up but it looks to be in good shape. Seller wants $900. |

Well there are a lot of variables. Condition. Location. How much it might cost to get a bad one and restore it (assuming that's something you're willing and able to do). How badly you want it (i.e. are you willing to wait long for the next one to come along). How far you have to travel to get it. Ultimately you have to decide how much is it worth to you. But that said, I'm looking for one as well and I've set an upper limit of $700 for one that is in excellent condition. A guy in my area was trying to sell his near perfect tron for $1000 for a while, then dropped it to $900. I haven't seen it listed for a while but I decided to contact him again in case he still had it and has re-considered his price. He said he's sold it, and previously he said he'd keep it before dropping the price before $900. So I assume he either got $900 for it or got tired of getting emails from me occasionally and said it so I'd never bother him again. :) Personally I'm willing to pay significantly more for a tron than most any other cab for 3 reasons: it's the coolest cab ever made IMO, it's not playable in mame with "standard" controls, and I really enjoy it. |

Yea more of a pipe dream really. I would love to have that cabinet but cant justify spending $900 on a dedicated machine right now as I am in the beginning phases of a wall-mounted touchscreen juke. Plus I live in STL and there is a Super Auction coming up in November in which I'm hoping to score a megatouch machine. Thats too many things going on at once. If I throw in a Tron dedicated I'd be spending about $2000 in the next 2 months and I dont have that kind of disposable income right now. I was maybe hoping he was asking way too much and could get it for $500 or something like that. For those of you that live in the STL area here is the link http://stlouis.craigslist.org/tag/887610250.html. Maybe someone can give it a good home. |

FWIW it would have to look much better than that for me to pay even $700. |

What blemishes did you notice? Those pictures arent very up close. I sent him an offer for $500. Do you think that is too much? I dont really expect him to accept. |
