Wiring Coin Box

sarge:
The diode needs to be there to protect the any circuits in line with the meter.

Here is an article that explains this to some degree.

Same reason they use diodes on coils in pinball machines.

Here is the best I can do to illustrate my wiring configuration.
The counters actuate with the coin microswitches.
It was great.

But then I try the I-Pac and the counters don't work.
Where am I going wrong?

UPDATE!!!

I was running the Voltage for the counters through the 12V
I moved it to the 5V and All is fine now.
I wonder if the Ipac was in danger at the time.
I understand that it runs at 5V :S

The 12V can now be dedicated to the Solenoids and Lights :)
