Loose cd in laptop under the keyboard how hard will this be to remove??

While you are at it, give it a real good shake.

Also look at the screws, as you might need to remove them if the shaking doesn't work.  ;D

Couldn't you just remove the one screw that holds in the optical drive, pull the drive out, and then tilt the laptop if it slides that easily?

Laptop keyboards are usually pretty easy to pop off.  Look to see if there are any tabs holding it on.

Just what I was going to say. There is one (1) screw that holds the optical drive in place in a laptop. Also, after removing it, you can get a somewhat decent look inside.

Outside of that, taking apart a laptop can be a pain in the ass, so do what you can to avoid doing that.

Sorry for the double post.

On SOME laptops the keyboard is easy to remove, but even if it is, there is often a layer in between the keyboard and the motherboard.

Laptops scare me. I will willingly help someone deal with their PC any day... unless it is a laptop. They are like a puzzle box, and if you drop a piece, the game is over...
