Ok, I got everything connected, but forgot the degaussing coil. So my colours are a mess towards the top of the screen.

I have other issues with it though:

Can you post a pic of the whole screen? Looks like your brightness is a little high for starters...

ya, I fixed the brightness prob. I had the brightness pot turned right down - but the voltage? pot near the hvt was high.

I'm still getting the tearing of the lettering, but my blacks are black now. I also adjusted the focus, which improved it some, but it's still not great. I don't have a pic of the full screen, if you still want one, pls ask :)

Nah I don't need one anymore. I just wanted to see those lines to see if it was brightness related and it was. Have you taken this problem to the monitor forum?
