Ok, I got a small switch to try to get it out of attract mode and into play mode. Wired in the switch and the screen goes haywire each time it is pressed. I have to unplug the machine and plug it back in to get it to show the correct picture again.

The switch also goes to an AC relay that prevented it from giving free games when the power was shut off and back on again. The monitor is also the power supply on this machine.

The wiring that is available for the switch is Logic Ground, +5v and Coin switch.

I'll make sure to have my tools and a vacuum cleaner on the next trip. If I can get it to play and also get it cleaned up then it can come home and fill the empty spot I made in the gameroom for it.

Oh well, so much for easy fixes. Grrrrrr.

Sorry if this seems like a rambling post, I'm kind of thinking out loud about the problem while typing.

Remove your additional switch because you have build a short with 5V on the wrong line!!!

I have destroyed my PCB like that! Have made the same things you did! Needed a freeplay coin switch outside the cab and killed my soccer.

Have seen the same distorted screen when i pressed the switch.  :timebomb:

Connecting an extra switch parallel to the coin switch, will not work on this old soccer.

No problem with newer PCB and cabs but this one has a different setting!

Got my soccer PCB repaired by a trained technican, now. :notworthy:

P.S: Do you need the other picture of the start button (on top)?? We send you the pic from the side with the type and numbers before.

Please give me a note when you find the circuit diagram or other info related to this game.

Thanks for letting me know before I killed the board. I have wired it in every combo possible and can't seem to get it to start.

Did you get yours wired up to where it will start? If so, could you send me a drawing of the diagram? I'd really like to get it to start up so we can play it.

Also, a picture from the top would be great so I can make it look original.

Thanks,

-JM
