So... who's 401k is taking a pounding?

While that's good going forward, it's not happy to watch the things you already paid for become near worthless. If not for the 100% company match I'd have been down more than half of what I have put in. Buying cheap today or not I bought what is in there now when prices weren't low.
Like mission said, the smrt people are just ignoring it. I think I last looked about 5 months ago. I have my hands on my ears and I'm singing at the top of my lungs.

Me too, I am scared to look, even though in the long term it will be OK.
I fear for my dad who just retired.

My 401(k) is down 38% from last October to yesterday. I took a worse hit after 9/11 but the account came back. Hopefully it will come back again.
