romlister is your friend. there are 226 games that are vertical and use 3 buttons. (many clones in that list) There are 63 that use 4 buttons. tutankham alone is worth a 3 button setup. :) |

Yup, I prefer romlister to maws (deluxe search), but there's also maws. There are quite a few that mame lists with more than 4. Toobin has five, and is playable with a 3x2 grid. Not sure about Daioh as I'm at work and can't test, but mame lists heavy barrel as with five buttons when it really used 2. So some of the results might be false high. |

There is a shooter called Daioh that had 6 buttons. I played it a while back on the 3 button panel and didn't notice anything missing. Not sure what the deal was with that one. The KLOV pic does show it's CP with 6 buttons. |
