dragon ninja VS double dragon
Ginsu Victim:
I liked Bad Dudes when it came out in arcades, but it didn't age well for me.
When I was a kid, I remember buying the NES port for my birthday, since I loved the arcade original, and being a tad let down.
I can't really play it much now.
RayB:
Most of the Data East side-scrolling beat em ups are absolute stinkers (I'm talking about Bad Dudes, Robocop...)
Double Dragon is way more well-known, and has a bit more charm since you can put enemies in a hold, double-tag team them, pick up a variety of weapons, etc. But 15 minutes of continues and the game is finished.
I wouldn't put either in a bar. You won't make any money on them.

It's the way I remember the game, in a bar. But you're right, it probably wouldn't make any money. All of the side scrolling beat-em ups practically disappeared after games like SFII, MK, etc exploded on the scene. For a long long time, the only games I saw after fighters made it big were those with direct tie-ins to cartoons, ie Simpsons, TMNT, etc. The only reason they were ever played was that it gave the little kids something to do while their big brothers played the "bigger" games.
