i believe this cab had the full title: "AUSTIN POWERS AND THE GROOVY AMAZON CHICKS" ;D |

^ yeah BABY ;D ok here's the side: i think it's just a generic jamma cab that could have had anything in it. i confirmed this with a guy who was selling a game on ebay and his test machine had that same crazy austin powers hoops. haha the monitor in there is a broken wells gardener. i see in the monitor section they don't have the best reputation. what's gonna be a good replacement? i like the idea of keeping it as a full jamma machine. haha.. an adventure! |

Its a generic cab based on the "silverline" design in europe. Suzo used to sell them donkeys years ago. The CP is very cheap to get bent at any local sheet works. Only problem with those generic euro cabs is the bezel art was usually screened onto the back of the glass. Bugger to get off. Acetone gets it off with a little elbow grease. The fumes are nice too :) |

yeah that's exactly right, it has the graphics screened onto the back of the glass. so i'll need 2 tubs of elbow grease and some paint thinner. ok.. the cp seems to be in pretty good condition, unclips and folds open ok. there's some woodwork to be done as well, new graphics, new t-moulding and i think i'll add new joysticks. the jamma cables seem ok except the actual connector looks a little flakey. and the monitor.. and a game. then i'll be running! haha |

Give VIDEOTRONICSUK a call for a monitor. They do great deals on recond arcade monitors. W&G do a great 19" arcade monitor (u3000) and its supports SVGA. Picked one up from them for my old silverline for £65. Takes the hassle out of adding mame to a jamma setup. --- Quote from: venkman on October 10, 2008, 05:44:21 am ---i think i'll add new joysticks. --- End quote --- I love those old euro sticks great for beat 'em ups! |
